The essentials

  • Compare annual billing with the right alternative
  • Apply the reward cap to each month
  • Value other benefits conservatively

Compare annual billing with the right alternative

RedotPay’s checked Pro page lists US$12.90 monthly or US$129 annually. Twelve monthly payments total US$154.80, so annual billing costs US$25.80 less if you would otherwise pay for all twelve months. That arithmetic does not establish a saving versus keeping the underlying card without Pro or cancelling after a shorter trial.

Use the total payable amount in the offer shown to your Brazilian account, including any conversion needed to fund the fee. Pro’s published membership fee is non-refundable after payment. Before committing, check the renewal controls and distinguish an upfront annual charge from a monthly cost displayed only to make annual pricing easier to compare.

Apply the reward cap to each month

Consider hypothetical qualifying mobile-wallet spending of US$300 or US$600 every month. Using Pro’s published 3% rate and US$18 monthly cap gives annual credits of US$108 or US$216. Subtracting the US$129 membership yields negative US$21 or positive US$87, assuming every earned credit is usable and excluding ordinary card-use costs.

A Brazilian household with uneven spending should calculate twelve separate months, not multiply one holiday month by twelve. USDs expire after 30 days and apply to future card purchases, so unused credit reduces the result. Ordinary conversion and purchase costs still belong in a broader comparison of the card against another payment method.

  • Use twelve realistic monthly spending estimates.
  • Subtract the full incremental plan cost.
  • Count only credits and benefits you will use.

Value other benefits conservatively

For KAST Premium, the checked schedule lists a US$1,000 annual fee and different cashback caps from Standard. Compare the extra benefits against Standard’s benefits for the same monthly purchases. Do not multiply a headline rate difference across unlimited annual spending, or add KAST Points as spendable dollars without checking their actual use.

Give a card-fee waiver value only if you would actually order that card, and keep one-time benefits out of later years. Count an ATM waiver only against provider fees you would otherwise incur, not independent operator charges. Recheck the forecast after a completed month; a paid plan should fit existing spending rather than encourage unnecessary purchases.
