Four steps to your first payment
How a payment comes together
Eligibility and funding routes vary by card. Select a step to explore what to prepare.
Pick an existing payment and funding balance; compare with your current card.
Check residence, documents, exact plan, supported asset and network.
Save the receipt and settled debit; distinguish pending from usable rewards.
Subtract actual costs from confirmed rewards and assess funding and app convenience.
The essentials
- Compare confirmed Pix prices with net card costs.
- Distinguish KAST’s planned 1 October change from current terms.
- Keep actual debits and credits for BRL purchases and refunds.
Start with the Pix price
When comparing crypto cards in Brazil, inspect the final price for each accepted payment method. If a merchant offers a Pix discount, looking only at card cashback can reverse the apparent result. Include a discount only when that merchant actually confirms it; do not assume a uniform pricing policy across Brazilian shops.
For illustration, suppose the card price is R$500, the Pix price is R$485, and the card offers a usable 2% reward. Subtracting the R$10 reward leaves R$490, already R$5 above Pix before other costs. These are hypothetical inputs, not an observed store offer or any card’s verified tariff. The card can still be considered for a different purpose, such as spending assets you already hold or making an overseas purchase, but that purpose belongs in the decision alongside price.
Read a Brazil product change with its effective date
KAST’s Brazil notice describes a local-entity transition, CPF requirements and new terms. As checked on 8 September 2026, the announced transition date is 1 October. A future change must not be presented as a benefit or process already operating today. Read the terms and any additional verification request actually shown to your account before assuming the transition is complete.
When comparing RedotPay, likewise do not assume that a global product page establishes identical Brazilian issuance, delivery and purchase conditions. Check the country-specific application requirements, virtual versus physical choice and costs for BRL purchases separately. Choosing a card means choosing the product and effective conditions applying to your account at that time, rather than selecting a brand name alone.

Keep the purchase and its refund in one record
At first funding, confirm the asset, network and receiving address, then check that the balance is actually available for card spending. Keep the BRL receipt alongside the final app debit. If checkout proposes conversion into the card currency, inspect the DCC terms; choosing local currency does not necessarily remove the card’s own exchange charges.
If you cancel a purchase, ask the merchant for a refund confirmation reference. KAST refunds return to the wallet balance, but its public FAQ does not specify a BRL refund exchange rate. Do not assume the purchase and refund will produce identical card-currency amounts. Check the balance actually credited. A joined purchase-and-refund record helps both the next comparison and a support request if the refund needs tracing.
From application to refund, by card
Compare the same item’s Pix discount with its card price. KAST’s documented Pix feature and card spending are separate routes; use the BRL conversion quote and receiving details actually shown in your app.
01KAST K CardIts documented Pix option makes local Brazilian payments worth comparing alongside the card. Record the actual conversion between the USD wallet and BRL payment.+
The tradeoff The 1.5% reward stops after $2,000 monthly; credits cannot leave KAST, and non-USD fees can consume rewards.
Application conditions for this residence
Brazil service is documented, but nationality/KYC and card delivery are separate checks. Brazil-resident accounts are expected to transition locally on 1 October 2026; review CPF and new-terms requests.
Documents to prepare
- Valid original passport, national ID or driving licence accepted in your app
- If requested: address proof within 90 days, such as bank statement, utility bill or named tenancy agreement, matching the app address
- Brazil residents: submit CPF when requested; review terms for the expected 1 October 2026 local-entity transition
Application, funding and first use
- Create your account in KAST and complete the requested identity/address checks.
- Tap the lower-right card icon and choose your card.
- Choose Order Card → Virtual only or Physical and virtual.
- Review pricing and delivery details, then Confirm.
Your first local-currency purchase
BRL card spending from a USD balance adds non-USD FX and small-payment fees. When Pix appears in your app, compare its final BRL QR-payment quote; treat ATM/cash-like activity separately from reward-eligible shopping.
Cancellations, refunds and support
- Cancellations, refunds and support
- Request the purchase refund from the merchant and obtain confirmation. If the original charge is Pending/Authorized, a refund may await clearing; check its status in Transactions first.
- How long does it take?
- Typically 10–15 business days after merchant approval; some cases take up to 30 business days. After 30 business days, confirm merchant processing and ask Concierge to trace it with the refund reference.
- Where is it returned?
- Refunds return to the KAST wallet balance. The public refund FAQ does not specify MXN/BRL refund exchange rates; retain both purchase and refund USD amounts.
- Cancellation and subscriptions
- Delete a virtual card via Card → More → Cancel card. Ask Concierge separately about an unshipped physical-order refund and ending paid Premium/Private membership under your applicable terms.
- Declined or unfamiliar transactions
- Check balance, freeze status, limits, CVV and PIN. Insufficient-balance declines cost $0.50, so avoid repeated retries; send timestamp, amount and merchant to Concierge if unresolved.
- What to prepare for support
- In Concierge chat, type Talk to a human, or email support@kast.xyz from your registered address. Include transaction/refund references and the merchant’s response.

- Original physical document with at least 3 months validity, face scan and your current residential address
Application, funding and first use
- Complete identity verification in RedotPay.
- Choose Card → Apply for card • 10 USD.
- Enter an English billing address and fund the issuance fee.

Cancellations, refunds and support
- Cancellations, refunds and support
- Ask the merchant directly for a refund. Authorized is a temporary hold and Cleared is settled; merchant confirmation alone is not a credited refund, so check the RedotPay refund notification and account credit.
- How long does it take?
- Failed-payment holds usually return in 2–5 days. Merchant refunds can take 30+ days; RedotPay states crediting within 2–15 days after receipt. If delayed, obtain the merchant’s processing date and ask support to trace it.
- Where is it returned?
- Refunds return to the RedotPay account, but the official card-refund guide does not specify the returned crypto. Ask support which balance receives the credit; the merchant refund excludes the original transaction fee.
- Cancellation and subscriptions
- Card → Settings → Delete card removes the card; cancel merchant subscriptions with the merchant. For Pro, turn off Pro → … → Manage membership → Auto-renewal separately; paid membership fees are non-refundable.
- Declined or unfamiliar transactions
- If the app transaction shows an error, send a screenshot to RedotPay support. With no transaction record, ask the merchant about its rejection; if an amount is held, distinguish Pending from Declined before retrying.
- What to prepare for support
- Use support in the official app or help center with the error, date, amount and merchant refund confirmation. For an unresolved merchant charge, ask about chargeback eligibility and procedure.
