Korean language does not mean Korean eligibility

Language controls how you read; residence determines which product conditions need to be checked.

The essentials

  • Residence and reading language are separate choices.
  • Check the product, documents and card format individually.
  • Save a support answer with its date and product name.

A Korean-language card page does not establish that a Korean resident can apply. Language determines how you read the information; eligibility depends on actual residence and accepted documents. Accessing a website while travelling does not change residence.

This site keeps the two settings separate. A Korean-speaking resident of Spain can read Spanish-market guides in Korean. A resident of Korea needs Korea-specific checks. Changing language must not turn a foreign product into an eligible one. Read account access, card issuance, delivery and spending regions separately. This guide does not establish domestic promotion authorization or final application eligibility.

Label four different kinds of evidence

Use separate cells for Korean-language support, a Korean-resident program, delivery to a Korean address and your personal approval. A Korean help page fills only the language cell; “South Korea” in a delivery list fills only delivery. Only your official application outcome fills personal approval. Mark unresolved cells unconfirmed and add the next verification step.

The same language, different applications

Two Korean speakers can open the same comparison while one lives in Seoul and the other in Madrid. Korean makes the explanation easier to read, but their applications still depend on actual residence information and accepted documents. A temporary change in location during a holiday is not a reason to enter a different country of residence.

Choose your real residence first and reading language second. Match the country and tier in the card details to the application, then reconcile your name and address. When living abroad, ask support about a resident of that country holding your specific document; that is more precise than asking whether “Koreans can apply.”

Three lines to save before an issuance fee

Save three items: the exact product and tier, your real residence and intended documents, and the virtual or physical format plus delivery address. Answers may sit on different official pages; a “supported” label for one item does not complete the others.

When support clarifies a condition, keep the date and product name with the reply. This helps prevent an old answer being applied to a changed product or a later application. Submit identity documents and sensitive card information through the provider’s official process, rather than sending them to a comparison website.
