Four steps to your first payment
How a payment comes together
Eligibility and funding routes vary by card. Select a step to explore what to prepare.
Pick an existing payment and funding balance; compare with your current card.
Check residence, documents, exact plan, supported asset and network.
Save the receipt and settled debit; distinguish pending from usable rewards.
Subtract actual costs from confirmed rewards and assess funding and app convenience.
The essentials
- Separate income custody from this month’s card spending.
- Track PHP purchases and USD subscriptions as different conversion routes.
- Plan phone compatibility, subscription cancellation and refunds as part of actual use.
Separate the currency you earn from the currency you spend
If overseas project income reaches you in stablecoins, divide its intended uses before moving the entire balance to a card service. PHP living expenses, USD software subscriptions and money you do not plan to spend soon have different purposes. Convenience at checkout is not a reason to consolidate every part of your income in one service.
List this month’s necessary online and in-store payments. Start by considering purchases that can use an asset you already receive and the card actually supports; fewer conversions make the route easier to understand. If money needs repeated asset exchanges or ultimately belongs in a bank account, include the extra time and costs introduced by sending it through a card route.
A worked example: connect income to spending
Imagine a freelancer receives 500 USDC and intends to use only 100 USDC worth through a card. Compare the transfer, conversion and card costs associated with spending that 100, not the entire 500. Combining the custody plan for the remaining 400 with this month’s spending route makes it harder to identify what the card has actually saved.
If the first payment is a USD20 subscription, connect the asset quantity sent, the credited card balance and the billed subscription amount in your records. Put a later PHP grocery purchase on a separate line because another conversion may be involved. Do not subtract a USDC quantity directly from a peso amount; translate both into one currency before comparing actual rewards and costs.

Filter for the phone you actually use
Bitget Wallet’s APAC guidance checked on 8 September 2026 says those cards cannot currently be added to Apple Pay. For someone who requires iPhone tap-to-pay, that restriction comes before comparing rewards. Entering a card number at an online checkout and tapping an iPhone at a terminal are different capabilities, even when both are described as using a virtual card.
Installing an Android app is not the final step either. Device, region and card enrollment requirements must be met, and wallet registration must complete before trying phone payment. If you need a physical card, check its separate application and shipping conditions. Choose the card format in the practical routes below, then establish whether it supports your actual checkout method.
Resolve a failed payment before adding more funds
When a payment fails, first identify whether the issue is available balance, a locked card or unfinished online authentication. Repeatedly paying for the same order can leave several authorization entries to reconcile and make the spendable balance harder to understand. Collect the order reference, card transaction status and error screen so the merchant and card support receive the same account of the problem.
For work subscriptions, record billing and cancellation dates and confirm that a replacement card is also saved in the merchant account. Freezing a card and cancelling a subscription contract are separate actions. Where a refund is required, connect the merchant’s processing confirmation to the eventual balance credit before finalizing next month’s work-expense budget.
From application to refund, by card
Compare against PHP bank or e-wallet payments; do not assume InstaPay, PESONet, GCash or Maya automatically fund a foreign card. Use only the route actually offered in its funding screen; Bitget APAC card top-ups cannot be withdrawn back to your wallet.
01Bitget Wallet CardThe Philippines is explicitly included in APAC applications, with wallet funding for USDT/USDC holders. Keep the first top-up within planned spending because card funds cannot be withdrawn back to the wallet.+
The tradeoff Unused APAC top-ups cannot be withdrawn; non-USD purchases add 1.7% FX plus about 0.05% conversion.
Application conditions for this residence
Philippine citizens or residents with an employment pass and proof of address may apply. Accepted ID and KYC approval remain required; physical-card ordering needs a separate shipping address, and tourist presence is not the stated residence route.
Documents to prepare
- Passport, ID card or driving license with at least three months’ remaining validity.
- Employment pass and proof of address when applying through residence rather than citizenship.
- Any extra evidence requested by the official DCS verification email for manual review.
Application, funding and first use
APAC-issued Bitget Wallet cards currently cannot enroll in Apple Pay. Google Wallet requires compatible NFC Android and successful enrollment; online card-number purchases and physical-card use are separate options.
- In the latest Bitget Wallet app, open Wallet → Card → Apply now.
- Check the regional card offered for your actual residence.
- Register and submit your identity document for verification.
- After approval, follow activation/funding prompts and choose assetback in card settings.
Your first local-currency purchase
PHP purchases use Visa’s rate plus 1.7% FX and approximately 0.05% conversion fees. Google Wallet tap-to-pay requires compatible NFC Android and SMS verification; APAC card enrollment into Apple Pay is currently paused.
Cancellations, refunds and support
- Cancellations, refunds and support
- For a completed APAC purchase, request a merchant refund and keep the order/refund confirmation. For an authorization hold, first ask whether the merchant finalized payment; the APAC guide publishes no separate hold-release deadline.
- How long does it take?
- Typically within seven business days; exceptional cases may take 30–45 business days. If the normal period passes, send in-app support the order details and merchant confirmation for a trace.
- Where is it returned?
- APAC refunds use the processing-time exchange rate with no refund fee. The guide does not identify a fixed returned token: confirm the credited card balance with support rather than assuming an on-chain return to the original wallet.
- Cancellation and subscriptions
- Card → Manage → Freeze Card temporarily blocks use. Ask support about permanent closure and remaining balance; cancel subscriptions with the merchant separately. APAC card top-ups cannot be withdrawn to the original wallet.
- Declined or unfamiliar transactions
- Check available card balance and card details; for phone payments, verify wallet enrollment and NFC. Save the order reference, amount and error screenshot, then contact in-app support; report duplicate charges through the same route.
- What to prepare for support
- Open Home → avatar → Support in the top-right corner and provide order details and screenshots. Include the merchant’s processing date and refund reference for a missing credit.

Cancellations, refunds and support
- Cancellations, refunds and support
- Ask the merchant directly for a refund. Authorized is a temporary hold and Cleared is settled; merchant confirmation alone is not a credited refund, so check the RedotPay refund notification and account credit.
- How long does it take?
- Failed-payment holds usually return in 2–5 days. Merchant refunds can take 30+ days; RedotPay states crediting within 2–15 days after receipt. If delayed, obtain the merchant’s processing date and ask support to trace it.
- Where is it returned?
- Refunds return to the RedotPay account, but the official card-refund guide does not specify the returned crypto. Ask support which balance receives the credit; the merchant refund excludes the original transaction fee.
- Cancellation and subscriptions
- Card → Settings → Delete card removes the card; cancel merchant subscriptions with the merchant. For Pro, turn off Pro → … → Manage membership → Auto-renewal separately; paid membership fees are non-refundable.
- Declined or unfamiliar transactions
- If the app transaction shows an error, send a screenshot to RedotPay support. With no transaction record, ask the merchant about its rejection; if an amount is held, distinguish Pending from Declined before retrying.
- What to prepare for support
- Use support in the official app or help center with the error, date, amount and merchant refund confirmation. For an unresolved merchant charge, ask about chargeback eligibility and procedure.
