The essentials
- Use Nexo Debit if selected-asset spending fits; use Crypto.com prepaid only for money you can commit to card purchases.
- Crypto.com card top-ups cannot simply return to the Cash Account; EUR funding can also add two currency changes to PLN spending.
- Confirm eligibility and spending mode, then compare one settled PLN purchase against your existing card.
Separate Polish living costs from euro travel
Someone using a PLN salary for groceries in Poland starts differently from a traveller who already holds EUR. Even for the same two cards, the exchange needed before funding changes the comparison. Put Polish living costs and euro-area travel into separate budget columns before judging rewards or convenience.
Support for EUR funding does not create a PLN card balance. If you exchange PLN to EUR and later make a PLN purchase at home, inspect both currency changes. Keep your existing PLN card in the comparison and count only purchases you would realistically move to the new product.
Check Nexo Debit assets and personal eligibility
For Nexo, select Debit and inspect the asset spending order first. Credit involves collateral borrowing, so combining its rewards with a Debit cost calculation would compare different products. Confirm both that funding arrived and that the selected asset is available for the purchase you intend to make.
Polish residence does not give every applicant identical card eligibility. Nexo’s selected European citizenship, residence and accepted identity-document conditions need separate attention. A Polish address or residence permit is not European citizenship; resolve the requirements shown in your application before moving funds merely to explore whether the card is available.

Treat Crypto.com card top-up as a separate step
Crypto.com’s European prepaid product separates the EUR Cash Account from the card balance. Seeing euros in the account does not prove the card has been topped up. Load an amount tied to planned purchases and record the final card credit shown in the top-up confirmation rather than the account total.
Money already topped up cannot simply be transferred back to the Cash Account. Compare that commitment with Nexo’s selected-asset spending route for your pattern of modest recurring purchases. Finish with a real receipt and the final EUR debit from a first PLN purchase before increasing the amount allocated to either card.
- Separate PLN home costs and EUR travel.
- Check Nexo Debit and application documents.
- Verify Crypto.com top-up and the final PLN purchase.

Choose Nexo Debit to spend eligible Nexo assets in your chosen order. Confirm European citizenship, residence and ID eligibility; select Debit and keep Credit cashback out of the calculation.
Choose Crypto.com's EU prepaid card when you already have EUR and deliberately want a separate travel budget. Top-ups cannot return to the Cash Account, so load only planned spending.
Keep your existing PLN card as the baseline for Polish living costs funded by a PLN salary. For a hypothetical PLN400 grocery shop, justify any PLN-to-EUR funding followed by PLN spending.
