The essentials
- Match the asset, network and destination shown in the receiving app.
- Keep the test deposit above the minimum after fees.
- Confirm card spending balance before transferring more.
Read the receiving screen first
Suppose you hold USDT on an exchange after buying it with TWD. Do not begin by choosing the cheapest withdrawal network. Open the destination app first, select the intended deposit asset and read the networks currently offered. Only then compare those choices with the exchange withdrawal menu; a cheap route has no value if the receiving account cannot credit it.
Generate or copy the address from that specific deposit screen and compare the complete destination before confirming. Save the asset and network together, not merely a screenshot labelled “USDT address.” When an exchange offers similarly named token versions, resolve the exact match with official support before sending. An identical-looking address does not establish network compatibility.
Make the test amount creditable
A small test should still meet the receiving platform’s minimum after withdrawal or network fees. RedotPay directs users to its live Deposit page for these requirements. Write down the exchange deduction and expected received amount separately. Sending a token amount chosen only because it looks safely small can make the test inconclusive rather than informative.
For a Taiwan salary budget, record the original TWD cost as well as the crypto amount sent. A hypothetical NT$3,000 purchase of assets is a budget entry, not proof that exactly NT$3,000 becomes available for card spending. Preserve the trade confirmation, withdrawal record and transaction hash so any shortfall can be traced to a particular step.

Finish at the spending balance
An exchange withdrawal marked complete, an on-chain confirmation and an app credit are separate checks. After the test appears, inspect which balance was credited and whether it is available in your selected card mode. Ether.fi’s supported deposit list is broader than its Direct Pay spending assets, so do not treat a successful USDT deposit alone as proof of Direct Pay readiness.
If the credit is missing, stop additional transfers and give official support the transaction hash, asset, network, amount and destination. Do not send a second payment because a stranger claims it will unlock the first. Once the route is confirmed, repeat the same checks for later deposits: an old saved address or last month’s network list is not today’s deposit instruction.
- Before sending: asset, network, full address, net minimum.
- After arrival: credited asset, spendable balance, retained records.
