The essentials

  • Record EUR billing terms before renewal
  • Cancel the merchant agreement separately
  • Check later charges against the cancellation record

Record EUR billing terms before renewal

When moving a streaming or software subscription in Spain, record the next renewal date and actual billing currency. Keep the selected plan’s checkout amount even when the catalogue displays euro prices. Comparing a monthly charge with a prepaid annual plan requires putting both on the same time basis.

Move one manageable subscription first and inspect its first payment and renewal. Spending an EUR balance differs from converting USDC at billing. Review the available balance, asset priority and notifications so an unattended renewal does not consume an asset you intended to keep for a different purpose.

Cancel the merchant agreement separately

Do not treat freezing a card or removing it from a phone as proof that a subscription agreement has ended. Complete cancellation in the service’s billing account and retain the effective end date, confirmation email and request time. For an app-store purchase, follow the billing route identified on the receipt.

Bybit EU card termination and Nexo card deactivation are card-management actions. Paid merchant subscriptions need their own cancellation with the merchant. Update the payment method for services you intend to keep, and obtain an explicit cancellation record for those you intend to end before closing the card.

Check later charges against the cancellation record

If another charge appears, compare its authorization date with the renewal date and effective cancellation date. Identify whether it is an already incurred charge, a pending authorization or a new purchase before asking the merchant to correct it. Cancellation confirmation and approval of a refund are separate records.

For a requested refund, keep the EUR receipt, transaction reference and merchant reply together, then verify the credit actually arrives. Nexo offers Client Care for unresolved refund questions; Bybit EU provides its support webform. A dated record makes the specific disputed renewal easier to identify and investigate.

  • Save the renewal date, currency and plan.
  • Obtain merchant cancellation and its effective date.
  • Compare the next bill with that record.
