Four checks before applying in Spain

Check residence, accepted identification, card type and delivery separately before starting an application.

The essentials

  • Check residence, nationality and delivery separately.
  • Distinguish account KYC from card approval.
  • Resolve document requirements before funding.

A Spanish-language website does not establish eligibility for everyone living in Spain. Check four things separately: actual residence, accepted identity documents, virtual or physical card availability, and delivery address. Visiting a country is different from residing there.

Read the official onboarding requirements and ask the issuer if a document is unclear. Submit identity documents directly through its official application. Changing this site to Korean should preserve Spain as your selected residence. A Spanish-speaking resident of Mexico needs Mexican conditions instead. Comparison results narrow your options; the issuer makes the final application decision.

Four lines to complete before applying

For one candidate, record four items: the exact program serving Spain and its source; your ID’s issuing country/type and the accepted-document rule; virtual or physical issuance; and delivery to your actual address. For an unresolved item, write the question and date of the official support answer. A travel destination or interface language is not residence evidence.

Residence, nationality and delivery are separate questions

Studying or working in Spain does not itself make someone a European citizen. A provider can evaluate actual residence, identity and accepted documentation as separate requirements. A holiday address or a Spanish-language website setting does not establish eligibility.

Nexo’s card conditions require attention to the supported European document and residence rules together. Bybit EU also has card KYC and address verification, so account approval is not a reason to pay delivery fees before resolving the card requirements. Issuance, physical delivery and spending while travelling are three separate stages.

Make the support question specific

Instead of asking only “Does it work in Spain?”, state your actual residence, nationality, document type and expiry, and whether you need virtual or physical issuance. Send sensitive documents only through the official verification channel, not a public forum.

If more evidence is requested, compare the name and address with your account details first. Keep a dated support response, but do not treat it as a permanent approval guarantee. If the application displays different requirements, resolve the discrepancy using that screen and current official support before funding.
